Mr. Toads Wild Ride Mountain Bike Trail Details
Challenge:
Steep sustained climb to the ridge line with technical rock sections on the downhill. Riding with a buddy is suggested.
Trailhead:
A shuttle ride. Drive up Luther Pass Road, Hwy 89, to Big Meadow Park area and trailhead, or continue along the Hwy to the Tahoe Rim Trail (TRT) trailhead.

The Ride:
Mr. Toads Wild Ride mountain bike trail has been a popular ride in the South Tahoe area for many years – mainly because there were few technical downhill rides in the area. There are a couple of options available: you can do a car shuttle and start at Big Meadow Rest Area or start at the TRT trailhead further up Luther Pass Road on the left. On the lower part of the downhill you can choose to either bear left at conclude your ride in Meyers at the bike shop (this rides map) or bear right and finish at Fountain Place Rd. Some riders enjoy starting their ride at Fountain Place Rd. and riding up the trail.
