Profiles: Tahoe Pacesetters

All regions and communities have their pacesetters, and Tahoe is no exception. We have Olympians, World Champions, and groups and individuals who envision a personal goal to achieve or an effort to make that contributes to the benefit of others and the environment.

Pacesetters are clear in their objectives and passionate about moving from the ordinary to the extraordinary. They don’t accept what is, but help us realize that what we may think as impossible is possible through their actions.

An interesting aspect of some pacesetters is they do what they do because of some calling, an inner message, that drives them to do. It’s as if there is a momentum and they consciously and subconsciously step on it and it moves them not for personal gain but as a calling to advance human potential or to serve community, and place.

Here at Bike Tahoe, we bring attention to and recognize Tahoe’s pacesetters. Each of them has helped advanced the region’s bike culture.

When you encounter them, say hello, and strike up a conversation. Share your common love of biking and explore ideas about what you see in Tahoe’s biking future.

If you know a Tahoe Pacesetter send us a brief description of him or her for possible feature recognition. Send it to info@biketahoe.org. Thank you.
